Background
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is the UK’s compensation fund of last resort for customers of firms authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Brief
In previous years, FSCS presented their Annual Report as a single document. This year FSCS also produced Class Statements, a companion document that followed a similar look and feel to the main report.
The designs needed to make more use of information graphics, whilst reducing page count where possible through clever use of graphics and white space.
Solution
I developed a design that expressed the dynamics of claims handling and a graphical representation of the levy with a bold graphic look and feel.
By using circles as a consistent graphic device, the design draws on the idea of money and the process of allocating assets fairly to settle claims.
