FSCS Internal identity

Background

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is the UK’s compensation fund of last resort for customers of firms authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

In addition to their external customer facing brand, FSCS required an internal brand to support their organisational culture.

Brief

Exploration and design to develop a visual language for FSCS’s internal brand, looking at:

  • the way FSCS’s vision is expressed;
  • a lock-up with the FSCS logo;
  • how the internal brand might be developed across a range of print and digital touchpoints; and
  • creation of internal brand guidelines.

Solution

FSCS’s brand positioning reduced to a single memorable and actionable line - ‘A stronger, better future’ - and the brand essence expressed as a single compelling idea - ‘Flourishing’.

The brand mark is flexible enough to be extended to work across a range of touchpoints and environmental graphics.
