Background
FSCS required a web portal to enable clients to submit documentation for verification.
The externally facing part of the portal enables clients to upload documents and view verification activities and reports.
The internally facing part of the portal allows the FSCS verification team to create and administer user accounts and to run a series of verification options against the uploaded documentation.
Brief
This is a functional B-to-B transactional site.
The user interface needed to enable these transactions, bearing in mind that both clients and FSCS staff will use the site to process data against tight deadlines.
The look and feel of the portal needed to be clean and consistent, conform to FSCS branding and WAI Level AA accessibility.
Solution
A friendly login page and homepage dashboard creates a visually appealing design that remains focused on enabling the portal core processes.
Clear navigation and direction provides reassurance for user actions. Operation progress indicators and alert boxes provide user feedback, with the opportunity to cancel.
